First international Ren Xue workshop in Bulgaria

Yuan Tze and Melissa’s visit to Sofia

In May this year (2025) Yuan Tze and Melissa visited Bulgaria for the first time to hold a two-day Ren Xue workshop in the capital city of Sofia. The program of the seminar included a discussion on topics such as Ren Xue's path to health, happiness, sense of wellbeing, freedom, and growth. As he has always done in the last years, Yuan Tze made a strong emphasis on the role of the heart qualities for the development of human beings and the very future of humanity. The famous "heart to heart" technique worked well - the participants were involved in a meaningful discussion about Ren Xue, Yuan Gong, and the meaning and purpose of the Ren Xue system.

Apart from the Bulgarians, there were groups from the neighboring countries Greece and Romania, as well as participants from the USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand, and Germany, who also took part in the lively discussion, the healing sessions, and the learning and practice of Tian Yuan.

Thanks to the kind support and help of the Ren Xue teachers Florin Marcu, Munazza Bukhari, Kestrel Fink, Magalie Boucher, and Silke Dreher we were able to meet all the challenges of organizing a multi-language translation and meet the other requirements for a secure, smooth flow of the seminar.  We were able to organize a few more meetings for Yuan Tze and Melissa during the days of their stay in Bulgaria. A day after they landed in Sofia, Yuan Tze and Melissa traveled to Bratzigovo, а small town in the south Bulgaria to meet the kids in an orphanage. There were about 30 kids* of age from 8 to 18 years old and the staff. We believe that the meeting may become a turning point in the lives of some of them. The kids asked questions and listened to Yuan Tze’s story about his own lonely and difficult childhood and his way to get out of the trap of pain and suffering. Later on at the meeting with the staff, Yuan Tze announced that he worked on a special program, "Ren Xue for kids" which he hoped to complete by the end of the year. Good news for all of the teachers who work with kids and, of course, for all parents!

Yuan Tze speaks to artists in nonsofia art gallery in Sofia 

Yuan Tze and Melissa were also invited to meet with a group of Bulgarian intellectuals - artists, architects, and filmmakers - in nonsofia art gallery in Sofia. At this meeting, Yuan Tze talked about creativity and its inexhaustible source - Jingshen, provided it is cleared of unhealthy patterns.

We also did our best to give Yuan Tze and Melissa a chance to visit the oldest city in Europe, Plovdiv, which exists as human habitat since the Neolithic era. There is a site there named "Nebet tepe", which means "heavenly hill", a sacred place since ancient times.

"Bulgaria is a magical place" said Yuan Tze in the interview with the journal "Ossem", which they aired two weeks before the seminar on their YouTube channel. "But what is most precious for this small European country is its people. There is a lot of potential here." added Yuan Tze before he left our country.
